The Rusty Nail is a timeless whisky cocktail and one that has to be appreciated and most importantly enjoyed. The Rusty Nail combines a good quality whisky with the sweet, palatable taste of Drambuie.

The Recipe

This recipe serves 1

• 1 measure whisky
• 1 measure Drambuie
• Garnish: orange zest or a lemon twist

Add the whisky and Drambuie to an old fashioned glass filled with ice and stir. Decorate with a zest of orange or a twist of lemon.

Tip: To allow the whisky and Drambuie to mix well, add the Drambuie last.

Variations

Instead of serving a Rusty Nail in an old fashioned glass, it can be served in a cocktail glass without the ice to give a more elegant feel.
